I realized it’s been a long time since I posted a quilt in my grid! So I rounded up some of my quilts from over the years. I’ll do my best to give you details on each one. I don’t always remember, because quilts are something I do mainly for pleasure and my brain gets full of work minutiae. Hence, dates approximate. Btw, I’ve been doing quilting tutorials in my stories! They’re all saved to my story highlights for your convenience!
Here goes:

30 years ago on this day! Well, yesterday, but I was having too much fun to post anything! It was one for the books! Thanks to everyone who said hi during my marathon 7 hr video chat party that included a scene change. And also to everyone who sent their well wishes and love. I love you all for bringing so much joy to my day. In these uncertain times (@hot.bono @withtwohandsknits ) I never would have imagined a birthday as fun as this. Can’t say it beats eating seafood on the beach in Máncora, but hey, it comes pretty close (swipe for pics of my epic 30th birthday adventure). Extra special thanks to @a__lake for being the best isolation partner I could ever dream of! ILYSM

Happy Easter! She is risen!
πΈ Easter has always been my favorite holiday. I got engaged on Easter 2018. Easter weekend last year was my bridal shower. This year we had planned to be somewhere between Italy and Portugal on our honeymoon, and I feel guilty even mentioning it. π¬ There will be other trips, and memories of all the wonderful ones in the past are carrying me through this period. I feel so lucky. I even got See’s and waffles for breakfast thanks to @a__lake , and time to knit, and we picked up a bunch of masks from our local sewers that we will send out tomorrow! All in all, a great day.

Places you can knit: poolside at @the__courts . Still trucking on this cardigan I’m improvising as I go along! The yarn is @knomad_yarn steam (80% merino, 20% baby alpaca) dyed by moi in the color peeps. It’s available on three different bases in my shop right now. Check them out at the link in bio! What yarn bases would you like to see me add? βοΈ Photo cred: @a__lake

Get ready to break the knitternet. Y2K, a yarn project by me, has officially launched! Link in the place where the link goes! π

I’m really enjoying knitting with my own hand dyed yarn! This is going to be (what else?) a cardigan with pockets. I’m switching it up this time and doing a drop shoulder. Pattern is my own (winging it). Yarn base is Steam (20% baby alpaca, 80% merino) from @knomad_yarn

Hey fronds! Lately folks have been asking me where I get my clothes, particularly this dress, so I thought it’d be a perfect time to throw it back to these pics @sylviethecamera took in December 2018. The answer is, I make a lot of them, including this dress, the old fashioned way. I started making clothes when I was 14-15-16 and I haven’t really stopped since. I love making things and I love wearing special things no one else has. I am considering producing a small run of these special dresses, so if you’re interested, let me know in the comments! I’ve been chronicling my makes in a YouTube series (link in bio). One cannot make an entire wardrobe, so the remainder of my wearables come from the following sources: my own line, @soft_haus . Select designer items scooped up when on sale. When I lived in nyc I used to shop sample sales a lot. I shop when I travel (the things I have scored in Peru, Mexico and Guatemala are some of my prized possessions). I love me some uniqlo. Mainly, I just wear what feels good, as I mentioned in my week of outfits feature on @cupofjo in 2017. My style has changed a bit since I moved to la, while I miss layering and heavy knits like I used to wear in nyc, I also love all the different shoes I get to wear now that I’m not trudging through weather for parts of the year. Are there any other pieces I wear you want to know more about? Let me know! I’m not as good about posting my makes and my outfits as I should be! π¬

Fantastic beasts and where to find them β¨ I haven’t shared this much yet because it hasn’t looked like anything until now, and it’s so hard to photograph! But anyway, felt cute, might delete. Pattern is my own that I’m making up as I go. Yarn is 1 strand of mohair, 1 strand of a glittery sock yarn, and 2 strands of jojo land harmony. Very very excited to wear this! PS I’ve been calling this project “fuzzy cardi b”

Time is a construct but here are some of my favorite times of 2019
1. I’m your wife now!
2. Best people
3. Best dad
4. Maidens of valor
5. First gel mani
6. Marmalade confidant
7. See you over the rainbow bridge Pawses π. You were the best cat.
8. Welcome blooper
9. Wearing curlers in the garden on our wedding day
10. Today you bystand bliss.
Thanks to everyone who made the year good hard good.

LA based fronds! @a__lake and I will be at row dtla (brought to you by the lesser known Olsen twins) slinging things like the ice cream sandwich of a sweater I’m wearing in this picture. This weekend! @westcoastcraft goes down south. Come visit us and all the lovely vendors! I will put a link in my bio to a video of some things we are bringing. Hope to see you there!! π

Such a small fraction of the things I make end up on the feed. If you watch my stories you know how many edible things I make! I love making things to share with others, and if you bake something for a gathering, chances are you’ll be sharing a happy feeling along with a delicious treat. Once again, brother @hansfamatotable ‘s trash has become my treasure in this pavlova topped angel food cake (egg whites leftover from panettone baking!), or you could call it Egg Whites Two Ways, π the sweater is from my line @soft_haus and it’s on sale, plus an extra 20% off through tomorrow night! The code is YAY YAY YAY Xoxo maker girl

CABBAGE PATCH KIDS after the caterpillars made a feast out of @hansfamatotable ‘s kale, it had to go. Enter: my perfect prop styling opportunity! π₯¬

Episode 1: Am I doing this right?! I made a vlog/podcast/video/what have you, about my makes! What I’m making, how it’s going, what I’m making it with, basically 15 minutes of heaven with me! Because we all knew it’d come to this. Click the link in my bio to watch it all! And let me know what you think. Thinking we can make this a weekly thing! Thanks to @a__lake for producing this goat rodeo and pointing out my prodigious use of “ummmm” as a vocal crutch! You can tell I’m nervous because sometimes I only blink with one eye! That’s my tell! Oh also if you have a good idea for a title I’m taking suggestions. Make sure to like and subscribe! π

Plz enjoy this series of me acting like a complete weirdo before/during/after falling on my face, hurting my hand and getting dirt all over my new #earthencardigan and @maggie__jayne overalls. ‘Twas not a kale sitch. Swipe to the end for some rad Halloween detritus. πΈ: @a__lake (as if you don’t know who my Instagram husband is)
